Role Overview: The Pharmacist is responsible for delivering safe, effective, and cost-efficient medication therapy, developing and monitoring evidence-based care plans focused on patient outcomes and quality of life. Work Environment: Typically performed in a clinical setting, requiring adherence to policies and standards, with a focus on teamwork and professional development.

Responsibilities

• Provide pharmaceutical care tailored to specific patient care areas.
• Interpret and clarify physicians' medication orders, review medication profiles for safety and interactions, and recommend formulary alternatives.
• Consult with medical staff on drug therapy issues and monitor laboratory results.
• Offer drug information to healthcare professionals and conduct discharge medication consultations.
• Participate in patient rounds, calculate dosages, verify orders, and prepare compounded and sterile medications.
• Report supply needs, supervise pharmacy staff and students, and coordinate activities with healthcare teams.
• Assist in policy review and ensure compliance with departmental standards.

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy required; Doctoral Degree preferred.

Strong knowledge of pharmacotherapy, attention to detail, excellent communication, and leadership abilities.
