Acute Care Occupational Therapist

About the Role

Acute Care Occupational Therapist at Providence St. Mary Medical Center in Apple Valley, CA. This position is Full Time and will work 8-hour, Day shifts.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, plan, direct and administer medically prescribed occupational therapy programs in the hospital to restore function and prevent disability following disease, injury or loss of body part.
• Assist patient to reach his/her maximum performance and assume a place in society while learning to live within the limits of his/her capacities.
• Perform administrative duties and participate in department Performance improvement, Infection control, and safety and education programs.
• Assume responsibility and accountability for the care of those patients being treated by Occupational Therapist Assistants.
• May be assigned to orient staff and students and to assume the duties and responsibilities of the supervisor in the absence of that individual.

Required Qualifications

• Coursework/Training: Graduate of the American Occupational Therapy Association training program.
• Coursework/Training: Environmental orientation within 30 days of hire.
• Upon hire: California Occupational Therapist License.
• Upon hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association.
• Experience in acute care, skilled nursing facility, outpatient, and/or subacute care settings.

Pay

Base pay range: $48.79 - $75.74 per hour. Placement on the wage range will be determined based upon relevant job experience and other applicable factors. Additional compensation may be available, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.

Schedule

Full Time, 8-hour Day shifts.
