Acute Care Nurse Practitioner/Physician Associate- Structural Heart Team Scarborough

About the role

The Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (ACNP) or Physician Associate (PA) will provide programmatic support across the Cardiovascular Service Line (CVSL), specifically focusing on Structural Heart disease.

Responsibilities

• Pre-screen all applicants for Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement (TAVR) and other advanced cardiac valve procedures to ensure they meet the organization's guidelines.
• Collaborate with physicians, cardiac departments, outside medical facilities, patients, and their families to ensure successful patient acceptance for TAVR and other advanced valve procedures.

Requirements

• Successful completion of accredited ACNP or PA program.
• Two years of ACNP or PA cardiology experience required.
• Not accepting new grads or APP’s new to cardiology, currently.
• Current license issued by the State of Maine or eligible for licensure.
• Current BLS certification.

• Experience in a patient-centered, respectful manner.

• Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams.
