Services include adult care, chronic disease management, pediatrics, comprehensive women's care, dental, vision, case management, physical rehabilitation, speech therapy, infectious diseases, behavioral health, substance use counseling, and a variety of specialty services.
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough patient assessments to understand medical history, current health concerns, and treatment goals.
- Develop individualized treatment plans based on patients' needs, incorporating acupuncture techniques and other traditional Chinese medicine modalities.
- Perform acupuncture treatments using sterile needles, ensuring patient safety, comfort, and adherence to best practices.
- Monitor and evaluate patients' progress throughout the treatment process, making adjustments to treatment plans as necessary.
- Provide patient education and guidance on lifestyle modifications, nutrition, and self-care practices to support overall well-being.
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, including treatment notes, progress reports, and billing information.
- Collaborate effectively with other healthcare professionals, including physicians, nurses, and alternative medicine practitioners, to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Stay updated on the latest research, developments, and advancements in acupuncture and traditional Chinese medicine, integrating evidence-based practices into your treatments.
- Adhere to ethical and legal standards of practice, ensuring compliance with state regulations, licensing requirements, and clinic policies.
- Participate in professional development activities, including continuing education, workshops, and conferences, to enhance your knowledge and skills.
Requirements
- California State licensure as an Acupuncturist required.
- Current American Heart Association healthcare provider CPR (BLS), or Advanced Cardiac Life Support, Advanced Trauma Life Support, or Advance Resuscitation Training required.
- Minimum 1 year of experience as a Licensed Acupuncturist required.
- Demonstrated experience and proficiency in performing acupuncture treatments, with a strong understanding of traditional Chinese medicine principles and techniques.
- Excellent communication skills to establish rapport with patients, listen to their concerns, and provide clear explanations of treatment plans.
- Strong diagnostic abilities to assess patients' conditions accurately and develop appropriate treatment strategies.
- Traveling between sites and other locations is occasionally required.
- Must have a valid California driver’s license, an automobile, and proof of minimum levels of car insurance as required under California law, although limits of $100,000 are recommended.
- An acceptable driving record is also required.
