Acupuncturist

Ballard Acupuncture Center is a woman-owned, cash-based practice in Ballard, Seattle, specializing in women’s health. We support women through fertility, IVF, pregnancy, postpartum, perimenopause, and menopause. Voted Seattle’s Best Acupuncture Clinic two years running and the 2025 PNW Bronze Winner for Best Women’s Clinic, we see 20–25 new patients monthly and maintain strong referral relationships with PNW Fertility and other providers.

About the role

We seek an experienced, compassionate acupuncturist with a strong fertility background to join our established practice. The ideal candidate has hands-on fertility experience post-graduation, a solid foundation in fertility acupuncture, and comfort supporting patients through natural fertility and assisted reproductive treatments, including IVF. Advanced training, continuing education, or mentorship in fertility and reproductive health is highly valued.

While fertility is a major focus, the role also involves treating women’s health conditions across the lifespan—pregnancy, postpartum, perimenopause, and menopause. Chinese herbal medicine is integral to our approach; proficiency in prescribing individualized formulas is required. Experience with Point Injection Therapy (PIT) is a plus, though training is available for the right candidate.

Responsibilities

• Provide acupuncture treatments for fertility, IVF support, pregnancy, postpartum, perimenopause, and menopause
• Prescribe individualized Chinese herbal formulas and integrate herbs into treatment plans
• Collaborate with patients and their fertility care teams
• Deliver Point Injection Therapy (training provided if needed)

Requirements

• Licensed acupuncturist with post-graduate experience in fertility acupuncture
• Proficiency in Chinese herbal medicine
• Strong interest in women’s health across the lifespan
• Comfort working with patients undergoing assisted reproductive treatments (e.g., IVF)
• Commitment to ongoing education in fertility and reproductive health

Pay

• 40% commission on acupuncture services
• 10% commission on retail sales (Chinese herbs, supplements, and PIT)
• Earnings per visit (2 rooms available per hour):
  • $100–$110 for new patient visits
  • $58–$70 for return visits
• Hourly range: $120–$220

• Monday: 10:00 AM–3:00 PM
• Tuesday: 10:00 AM–3:00 PM
• Friday: 10:00 AM–3:00 PM
• Saturday: 12:00 PM–6:00 PM
