Acumatica Project Lead/Manager

Responsibilities

• Guide clients and internal teams from project kickoff to go-live, ensuring alignment, information sharing, and confidence.
• Lead the delivery of project management consulting services for Acumatica clients, covering internal project reporting, administration, resource management, client management, project budgeting, finance, planning, control, and communication.
• Work closely with internal and external clients to provide a full range of services.
• Own the full project lifecycle, including planning, execution, delivery, and post-go-live support.
• Track progress, risks, budget, and key metrics without overwhelming the team with administrative tasks.
• Flag issues early and create practical contingency plans to ensure smooth project execution.
• Build strong, positive relationships with client stakeholders and set clear expectations throughout the project.
• Translate technical details into clear, user-friendly updates and keep clients informed, calm, and confident, even during challenging times.
• Support and coordinate your team by assigning roles and responsibilities, collaborating with internal and external resources, and fostering a transparent, accountable, and successful team culture.
• Drive project financial health by monitoring budgets, burn rates, and earned value, managing change orders, and ensuring accurate invoicing and timely follow-ups.
• Communicate effectively with all stakeholders, providing clear updates on progress, risks, decisions, and next steps, and creating simple, effective project documentation when necessary.
• Use sound judgment to escalate issues appropriately and communicate them clearly and professionally.

Requirements

Experience managing ERP projects, particularly with Acumatica, is essential. Strong communication and relationship-building skills are also crucial. A calm, organized, proactive approach to problem-solving, along with emotional ownership and a collaborative mindset, are key attributes. Leadership experience in a business context is preferred, and a bachelor’s degree is required, though equivalent experience may be considered.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in a business leadership position.
• Bachelor’s degree required; equivalent experience may be considered.
• Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain effective relationships and partnerships with key stakeholders.
• Proven experience in leading and managing complex, strategic projects with national scope.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, facilitation, and presentation skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work independently and with minimal supervision.
• Good computer skills, proficient with MS Office applications.
• Knowledge of workforce and labor force strategies in other sectors is beneficial.
• Excellent organizational skills and the ability to execute projects on time and within budget.
