Actuary, Risk and Compliance

For our client, we are seeking an Actuary, Risk and Compliance to join the team of a leader in the Healthcare space. This role will provide actuarial and compliance leadership for a healthcare organization, with a strong focus on risk identification, financial impact analysis, and regulatory adherence. The position will oversee actuaries and support staff while advising on strategies that strengthen controls, improve bid processes, and support compliant operations. You will also work cross-functionally to help ensure audit readiness and alignment with Medicare-related requirements.

Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

Responsibilities

• Manage and oversee actuaries and support staff in risk identification and management
• Identify and analyze potential financial risks and estimate consequences
• Develop and recommend cost-effective controls to minimize risks
• Ensure compliance with CMS requirements for Total Beneficiary Cost
• Participate in CMS audits and reviews of Medicare bids
• Create and implement process improvements for compliant bid filings
• Advise on functional strategies concerning actuarial risks across the organization

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree
• 8+ years of technical experience
• 2+ years of project leadership experience
• Associate or Fellow in the Society of Actuaries (ASA or FSA)
• Member of the American Academy of Actuaries (MAAA)
• Strong written and verbal communication skills

Pay

$129,300 – $177,800 annually
