Actuary - Model Development, Annuities

For our client, we are seeking an Actuary - Model Development, Annuities to join the team of a leader in the Finance & Insurance space. This role will focus on the technical development and governance of actuarial models that support annuity products and related financial reporting needs. The selected candidate will partner closely with IT and other stakeholders to improve automation, maintain model integrity, and deliver reliable production-ready outputs on a recurring basis. This position also plays a key role in model change management, new product support, and ongoing enhancement of modeling capabilities across the organization. Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available Compensation: $138,750 – $203,500 annually Responsibilities Own all technical aspects of actuarial models Develop and maintain model inputs, interfaces, reports, and databases Provide thought leadership in model governance and change management Lead projects for new products and model functionality Deliver validated production models to end users on a quarterly basis Collaborate with IT to enhance automation and efficiency Manage ad-hoc projects and ensure proper model usage Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Computer Science, Statistics, Economics, or a related field 8+ years of experience FSA or Career ASA professional designation 5+ years of modeling experience Expertise in modeling software similar to MG-ALFA Significant experience with Fixed-Indexed Annuities Benefits Flexible and customizable benefits starting from day one Comprehensive medical and financial benefits 401(k) eligibility Paid time off including vacation, sick leave, and parental leave Participation in discretionary annual incentive programs Our client is an equal opportunity employer.
