Opportunity

The Actuary, Insurance and Product Risk Management will provide insurance and product risk oversight for Retirement & Income Solutions (RIS) segment, focusing on product risk management, pricing governance, and strategic risk analysis. The diverse RIS portfolio includes products such as Pension Risk Transfer, Structured Settlements, Longevity Reinsurance, Stable Value, Retail Annuity Reinsurance and other products. This role partners closely with cross-functional teams to maintain robust risk frameworks and deliver actionable insights that drive sound business decisions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct risk assessments and product/pricing reviews across RIS offerings, ensuring risks are identified, understood, and appropriately mitigated.
  • Review and challenge key actuarial assumptions, including mortality, longevity, policyholder behavior, expenses, and investment margins.
  • Perform stress testing, scenario analysis, and emerging risk evaluations to assess product profitability under varying conditions.
  • Evaluate actuarial models and asset-liability management (ALM) strategies to support sound product and portfolio performance.
  • Strengthen risk governance by integrating risk management practices into product strategy and providing clear, actionable recommendations to senior leadership.

Required Qualifications

  • Fellow of the Society of Actuaries (FSA) with 5+ years of insurance or consulting experience.
  • Strong actuarial expertise combined with broad business acumen and strategic thinking.
  • Advanced analytical, mathematical, and actuarial modeling capabilities.
  • Prominent ability to build partnerships, collaborate across stakeholders, and foster teamwork.
  • Self-motivated and adaptable, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in retirement product development or retirement financial modeling is a plus.
  • Proficiency in Asset Liability Management (ALM).

Location Expectation

This is a hybrid role requiring a minimum of 3 days per week in office. The expected salary range for this position is $116,300 - $155,100. This role may also be eligible for annual short-term incentive compensation. All incentives and benefits are subject to the applicable plan terms.
