About the role
We are seeking an experienced Actuary to join our team. This role will work in partnership with Underwriting to oversee the design and enhancement of pricing and underwriting models to achieve strategic business objectives.
Responsibilities
- Leverage advanced statistical techniques and emerging data sources to strengthen risk segmentation, pricing sophistication, and portfolio performance
- Develop and present analysis to external insurance companies to support relationship management and strategic alignment
- Partner closely with Product, Engineering, and Data teams to ensure robust data pipelines, quality, and accessibility, enabling scalable and reliable actuarial infrastructure
- Collaborate with Compliance team to lead state rate filing and ensure adherence to regulatory requirements across jurisdictions
- Synthesize your work to effectively communicate the core takeaways and recommendations for the executive team and external insurance partners
Requirements
- 5–8 years of professional actuarial experience in the P&C insurance industry, with demonstrated expertise in pricing and product development
- ACAS required; FCAS strongly preferred
- Strong proficiency in scripting language and statistical software (e.g. SQL, Python)
- Experience with data visualization and dashboarding tools (e.g. Tableau, PowerBI)
- Familiarity with DOI requirements across multiple states
- Strong organizational and leadership skills with experience managing projects and mentoring analysts
- Resourceful, innovative thinker who thrives in a fast-paced, evolving environment and enjoys solving strategic actuarial challenges
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Actuarial Science or related field
- Experience with actuarial modeling and pricing
- Knowledge of insurance industry regulations and compliance

- Base Salary Range: $135,000 - $165,000
