About the role

The Global IT Controlling (RIC1.2) department is responsible for planning and monitoring the reinsurance group’s global IT RUN and Transform expenses, as well as investments and business cases within the reinsurance segment.

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to decision-making processes at senior executive level across the reinsurance segment
  • Strengthen RIC’s position as a strategic business partner
  • Analyse and assess business cases and investments from various economic perspectives
  • Create controlling recommendations for the Reinsurance Committee
  • Drive financial planning and monitoring processes for the IT Transform budget
  • Develop and enhance approaches to evaluate and monitor business cases and investments
  • Develop, prepare, and present decision proposals and senior management presentations
  • Translate complex financial and technical topics into clear, structured insights for non-technical audiences
  • Develop analyses and visualizations to support data-driven decision-making
  • Contribute to the automation and digitalization of systems, tools, interfaces, and processes to increase efficiency

Requirements

University degree in Economics, Business Administration, Finance or a comparable field

Several years of experience in finance and/or controlling

Strong knowledge of methodologies and metrics in investment and project controlling

Excellent analytical and conceptual skills

Strong interest in data, with knowledge of analytical programming (e.g. SQL, R, Python) and visualisation/BI tools (e.g. Power BI) is an advantage

Experience in IT project management is an advantage

Excellent communication and presentation skills, including the ability to engage with senior stakeholders in a clear and structured manner

Ability to explain complex topics in an understandable way to diverse audiences

Qualifications
