About the role

This role supports financial discipline around P&L visibility, margin improvement, and business performance. You will partner with executive leadership and cross-functional stakeholders to improve planning processes, financial discipline, controls, and resource allocation. The position offers the opportunity to influence enterprise performance and scalable financial operations within a regulated financial services environment.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and enhancement of pricing methodologies and actuarial models for large accounts and specialty programs
  • Partner with underwriting to evaluate profit margins for new and renewal business
  • Develop frameworks for assessing portfolio performance and profitability trends
  • Analyze data to identify trends influencing pricing and underwriting strategy
  • Collaborate with teams to design and launch insurance products aligned with market conditions
  • Provide actuarial support for underwriting authority programs and strategic partnerships
  • Communicate pricing recommendations and strategic insights to executive leadership

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Data Science, or a related quantitative field
  • Minimum of 12 years of actuarial experience in property & casualty insurance, focusing on pricing, product development, or portfolio management
  • Significant experience in pricing large accounts, delegated authority programs, specialty insurance products, or alternative risk solutions
  • Minimum of 5 years of leadership or management experience, with responsibility for developing actuarial teams and influencing cross-functional decisions
  • Fellow of the Casualty Actuarial Society (FCAS) required or strongly preferred; Member of the American Academy of Actuaries (MAAA) preferred

Pay

$216,000 – $270,000 annually
