Actuarial Assistant/Analyst

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with business partners (Claims, Underwriting, Product) to support pricing, filings, and profitability work
• Support actuarial analyses for assigned lines (e.g., workers’ compensation and/or commercial auto)
• Prepare data, perform trend summaries, and conduct segmentation studies
• Assist with rate and regulatory filings by assembling exhibits, summaries, and supporting documentation
• Extract, validate, manipulate, and analyze data using Excel and internal systems
• Maintain clear documentation and workpapers for review
• Participate in team meetings and provide status updates
• Pursue ongoing professional development through actuarial exams

Qualifications

• Actuarial Assistant: Bachelor’s degree in mathematics, statistics, economics, actuarial science, or related field; at least 1-2 CAS exams preferred; prior internship or relevant P&C pricing experience a plus
• Actuarial Analyst: Bachelor's degree in actuarial science, mathematics, statistics, or related field with strong mathematics background; minimum 2 years of actuarial experience, preferably with commercial lines exposure; successful completion of 2 or more CAS exams preferred
