Actuarial Analyst, NA Property Pricing
About the role
The Insurance Pricing Team at AXA XL is dedicated to achieving profitable growth and talent development through collaborative efforts. This role supports the Actuary for North America Large Commercial Property, working closely with underwriters, management, and senior actuarial colleagues globally.
Responsibilities
- Provide guidance to underwriters on the effective use of pricing models.
- Calculate technical premiums and other key metrics and communicate results to underwriters.
- Design and produce management information to assist underwriters and the management team.
- Develop and maintain Property pricing dashboards.
- Ensure efficiency of pricing processes.
- Support rating algorithm reviews, development, testing, documentation, and maintenance.
- Audit and challenge rate changes and profitability metrics.
Requirements
- Degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or related field.
- Experience with coding in R or other statistical programming languages.
- Willingness to take actuarial exams with the intention to qualify.
- Experience with non-life insurance pricing, particularly Property Lines is beneficial.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability and willingness to collaborate across teams.
- Enthusiastic individual who is keen to learn and develop.

Pay
The U.S. base salary range for this position is USD $61,100- $101,500. Actual pay will be determined based on individual skills, experience, and location.
