About the role

RHA Health Services is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to join the Assertive Community Treatment Team (ACTT). The ACTT team provides support, services, and treatments necessary to provide integrated crisis response, crisis stabilization interventions, and crisis prevention activities or services related to specialized populations that require intensive interventions.

Responsibilities

• Provides oversight and general nursing care and services to persons with behavioral health challenges in the community.
• Participates as a member of an interdisciplinary team, attends Person Centered Plan (PCP) meetings, and develops plans as requested.
• Maintains monitoring of consumers and takes appropriate action for side effects and adverse reactions to medications.
• Aids in assessing learning needs of the consumers and carries out teaching as indicated.

Requirements

• Requires a unencumbered Registered Nursing License.
• Bachelor’s of Nursing preferred.
• One year of nursing experience preferred.
• Experience in behavioral health nursing preferred.
• Valid drivers license required (this is a condition of employment).
• Personal vehicle insurance coverage required.

Physical requirements

• Required to lift 20 lbs.
• Must be able to lift a minimum of 40 lbs.
• Must be able to pull minimum of 25 lbs.
• Must be able to squat, kneel, crawl, crouch, climb, and stoop.
• Must be able to regularly use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls.
• Required to regularly stand and walk.
• Must be able to demonstrate proficiency in CPR from the floor level requiring to work on hands, knees, bending, standing and lifting.
• Vision requirements include close vision, distance vision, and peripheral vision.
• Must be able to talk and hear.
