Activity Therapy Specialist 2 - Northwest Ohio Behavioral Healthcare - Part Time
This is an hourly, part-time position covered by the OCSEA/AFSCME bargaining unit (union), located at our Northwest Ohio Behavioral Healthcare Campus in Toledo, Ohio.
Responsibilities
- Plans, organizes, and facilitates a comprehensive program of recreational, art, or music therapy/adjunctive therapy (AT) for assigned unit.
- Conducts therapy sessions using defined therapy techniques and mediums.
- Leads individual and group therapy sessions for evaluation and skills/performance development.
- Completes documentation to Joint Commission and CMS standards.
- Functions as a primary member of assigned interdisciplinary treatment team; evaluates patients; formulates and implements individual treatment plans.
Requirements
- 42 months of experience in activity therapy or recreation, or
- 42 months of experience providing work direction to incarcerated persons and training and/or development, or
- Associate degree in recreation or a specialty area (e.g., music, art, drama, dance) plus 24 months of experience in activity therapy, or
- Completion of undergraduate core program in recreation or a specialty area (e.g., music, art, drama) plus 18 months of experience in activity therapy, or
- 12 months of experience as an Activity Therapy Specialist 1 (44213), or
- Equivalent of the minimum class qualifications noted above.

Qualifications

Pay
$24.88 per hour. Unless required by union contract or Ohio Revised Code, the selected candidate will begin at Step 1 of the OCSEA Pay Range Schedule (Range 29), with an opportunity for a pay increase after six months of satisfactory performance and yearly raises thereafter.
Schedule
Part-time, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM.
