Activity Therapist - Part-Time

About the role

As a member of the Northpoint team, the Activity Therapist provides activity-based group sessions, risk assessments, case management services, orientation, and discharge planning to clients. This role ensures activities are appropriate to the needs and interests of clients and are directed toward restoring and maintaining optimal levels of client satisfaction and functioning. The Activity Therapist actively participates as a member of the multidisciplinary treatment team, providing client care, observation, interaction, and role modeling under the direction of clinical leadership. Northpoint Recovery also supports adult mental health primary conditions in the outpatient setting in select markets.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate project-based group activities, such as art, music, recreation, mindfulness, skill building, and goal setting
• Case staffing and review of case record maintenance
• Consult with the multidisciplinary treatment team to provide quality client care
• Professional and timely documentation, aligned to policies and procedures, to assure comprehensive and quality client care
• Participate in treatment and discharge planning
• Provide case management services; coordinate with community-based providers and referral sources to ensure optimal levels of care and treatment outcomes post-discharge
• Conduct risk assessments and utilize de-escalation skills
• Provide administrative support
• Adhere to all company policies and procedures
• Maintain confidentiality in accordance with established policies and standards of care
• Perform other clinically appropriate services and special projects as assigned

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree or commensurate experience required
• 1+ year of experience in a relevant field
• Ability to work with a diverse client population and possess strong interpersonal skills
• Strong personal boundaries and ability to build rapport with clients
• Understanding and adherence to the ethical standards of the respective licensure governing board, as applicable
• At least twenty-one (21) years of age
• Current and nationally accredited CPR/First Aid/AED certification
• Valid driver’s license and a safe driving record

Schedule

• Monday: 10:30 AM – 9:00 PM
• Tuesday: 9:00 AM – 7:30 PM
• As Needed

Pay

$24 – $30 per hour
