Activity Therapist (CTRS) (Music Therapist) (Art Therapist)

South Sound Behavioral Hospital is hiring experienced Music, Art, Recreation, or Occupational Therapists for our Activity Therapist role. This position involves planning and implementing activity services, defining and implementing treatment goals as part of an interdisciplinary team, and providing continuous patient care, observation, interaction, and role modeling.

Responsibilities

• Plan and implement activity services for assigned programs.
• Define and implement treatment goals as a member of the interdisciplinary treatment team.
• Provide continuous patient care, observation, interaction, and role modeling to patients.
• May be required to work overtime and flexible hours.
• Successful completion of CPR Certification and CPI prior to assisting with a restraining procedure and within 30 days of employment.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university in Occupational, Art, Music, or Recreational Therapy, humanities, social work, or related therapeutic discipline. Master’s degree preferred.
• Certification or licensure by the state of Washington and/or national governing body in art, occupational, recreation, or music therapy.
• One (1) year of related experience, with knowledge of psychiatric patient care techniques and understanding of mental illness, preferred.

Pay

This is a full-time role with an expected compensation range of $28-$35 hourly. Consideration will be provided based on experience and skill level.
