What You Will Do in This Role

Applies appropriate theories and standards for decision-making and actions related to therapeutic practices. Assesses patient needs based on cultural, religious, and physical disabilities, determining capabilities in group settings and specific activities. Documents the patient's response to interventions pertinent to their treatment on a daily/weekly basis, contributing to the assessment workload balance among therapists. Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in Recreational Therapy (CTRS), Music Therapy (MT-BC), Art Therapy (ATR, ATR-BC, ATR-P LPAT), or a similar field required.
• Previous experience in a psychiatric health care facility, with direct experience working with chemical dependency, dual diagnosis, psychiatric, and geriatric patients preferred.
• Current unencumbered certification/license/registration required according to state practice guidelines.
• CPR certification and Crisis Prevention Training (CPI) must be obtained within 30 days.

Pay

The salary range for this position is $22 - $30 per hour. While typical pay will fall within this range, certain circumstances may allow for payment outside of this hourly rate.
