Activity Lead - Color Guard

About the role
Applicants for the Color Guard position are responsible for working collaboratively with the band director and staff to recruit, train, and develop a successful color guard program. The role involves developing a basic skill program, choreographing routines for the fall marching band show, contributing to the design process of the marching band, attending and supervising practices, and instructing during marching band rehearsals. The successful candidate will collaborate with administrators, teachers, coaches, sponsors, students, parents, and community members to ensure the school represents community pride.
Responsibilities
- Recruit, train, and develop a successful color guard program
- Develop a basic skill program for color guard members
- Choreograph routines for the fall marching band show
- Contribute to the design process of the marching band
- Attend and supervise color guard practices
- Instruct during marching band rehearsals
- Collaborate with administrators, teachers, coaches, sponsors, students, parents, and community members
Requirements
- Previous Color Guard experience (required)
- Instructional experience (preferred)
- Commitment to academics, strong fundamental skills, and sportsmanship
Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent
Pay
This is a stipend-based seasonal position with a pay range of $0.01 USD to $10,000.00 USD. The hiring range for this role is $0.01 USD to $5,000.00 USD.

Schedule
This is a seasonal position at Mountain Vista High School. The role is not a one-year-only position, and the posting will remain open until filled (no later than November 19, 2026). Scheduled hours and days per year are determined based on program needs.
