Responsibilities
The Activity Coordinator is an unlicensed assistive person who reports to the Director of Subacute, with direction from the Registered Nurse. This position coordinates and provides recreational and activity programs for the Subacute Unit.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or Equivalent or one year related experience required for new hires, effective April 2014
- Current Certified Nursing Assistant certificate, or experience as an Occupational Therapist Assistant or Recreation Therapist
- Minimum one year previous experience in an acute care hospital or a social or recreational program within a healthcare setting required
- Six months recent experience as an Activity Coordinator in a Subacute setting preferred
- Current BLS (AHA) upon hire and maintain current
- Satisfactory completion of Activities Coordinator course approved by the California Department of Public Health and Social Services preferred

A reasonable compensation estimate for this role, which includes estimated wages, benefits, and other forms of compensation, is $25.91 to $25.91. The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire, in which a wide range of factors will be considered, including but not limited to, skillset, years of applicable experience, education, credentials and licensure.
