Tasks
- Helps create and implement planned, fulfilling activities for participants.
- Provides individual care and supervision to participants.
- Safely transports participants to and from the program.
- Escorts adult day services participants to and from vehicles.
- Supports and supervises participants.
Requirements
- Experience in providing personal care, activities, or social/recreational programs.
- Able to understand written and oral instructions.
- A high school graduate or have successfully completed a GED.
- Passes Criminal Background Check with no disqualifying offenses.
- Valid Ohio Driver's License with at least 2 years driving experience.
- Can obtain and maintain driving privileges per The Salvation Army standards.
- Obtains a signed statement from a licensed physician stating no medical or physical condition impeding safe driving.
- Passes drug and alcohol screenings.
Qualifications
- Must be able to drive safely and responsibly.
- Must be able to assist in emergency situations if needed.
- Must be able to provide support and supervision in line with The Salvation Army’s standards.
Skills
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Ability to follow written and oral instructions.
- Knowledge of adult day services and participant care.
