Responsibilities
- Aid in planning, organizing, and facilitating recreational, social, educational, and therapeutic activities for residents.
- Encourage resident participation and engagement in scheduled programs.
- Set up and clean up activity areas before and after events.
- Escort residents to and from activities as needed.
- Support holiday celebrations, special events, and community outings.
- Maintain activity supplies and equipment.
- Document resident attendance and participation.
- Foster a positive, welcoming, and inclusive environment for all residents.
Qualifications
- A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
- Previous experience working with seniors, healthcare, recreation, or activities programs is a plus.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Compassionate, patient, and enthusiastic personality.
- Ability to assist residents with varying levels of mobility and cognitive function.
