Activity Assistant

About the Role

Join our team as an Activity Assistant at our state-of-the-art skilled nursing facility. This position provides activities to facility residents with the goal of promoting the psychosocial, spiritual, and emotional well-being of residents, families, and staff.

Pay

$13.50 - $16.00 an hour

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the Activity Department to provide individual, group, and 1:1 activities essential to residents' total well-being
• Contribute insight to the activity calendar and provide activities tailored to residents' needs
• Conduct all scheduled group and individual activities
• Attend outings, including operating bus lifts and other bus equipment
• Attend team member meetings as needed
• Assist with resident meals (serving/feeding)
• Support theme weeks and special events
• Document activity participation attendance for all groups and individual activities
• Assist with customer service surveys
• Perform other duties as specified by the supervisor

Requirements

• Must be (or eligible to become) a State Tested Nurse Aide to allow more active participation in activity delivery
• Willingness to learn and strong communication skills
• Sincere desire to work with the elderly and enjoyment in working directly with residents, staff, and families
