Activity Aide - Part-Time Weekends

Role Overview: The Activity Aide is responsible for creating engaging activities to enhance residents' physical, mental, and social well-being in a senior healthcare setting. Key Responsibilities Provide interactive and enjoyable activities for residents, including games and crafts.Assist in planning, developing, and organizing programs and events.Visit bed-bound residents one-on-one to offer companionship.Participate in resident assessments and discharge planning.Support residents during outdoor breaks, such as smoking sessions. Qualifications & Skills High School Diploma or G.E.D.At least one year of experience in Long-Term Care and Dementia care.Excellent customer service skills with a positive and energetic attitude.Strong confidentiality adherence in line with HIPAA standards.Compassion, tolerance, and understanding for older adults.Eligible for hire per Illinois Department of Public Health; willingness to undergo fingerprinting if necessary. Additional Details: This part-time role involves weekend shifts, with pay at $15.40 per hour, offering flexible daytime hours.
