About the role
Eden Senior Care, founded in 2016, is a growing Healthcare Management company focused on managing and operating Skilled Nursing, Rehabilitation, and Assisted Living communities across Minnesota, Wisconsin, Illinois, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Indiana, and Alabama. Edenbrook Platteville, part of the Eden Senior Care Network, is a skilled nursing facility seeking an Activity Aide to join our team.
Schedule
- Part-time: 2-3 days a week
- Every other weekend rotation
- 3 holidays per year
- Weekdays: 10 AM to 5 PM
- Every other weekend: 7 AM to 4 PM
Pay
$17–$18 per hour
Responsibilities
- Assist with planning, coordinating, and implementing activities to meet the physical, spiritual, emotional, intellectual, and emotional needs of our residents.
- Create environments where moments of joy, independence, and wellness are the focus each day.
- Help design programs to encourage socialization.
- Provide entertainment, relaxation, and fulfillment to improve daily living skills.
- Prepare and maintain reports on resident's progress.
- Ensure activity areas are safe and well-maintained.
- Generate enthusiasm to encourage and motivate participation.
- Organize and participate in person-specific activity programming, including one-to-one interventions, small-group facilitation, and large-group presentations.
- Document individual participation and the value of approaches in the medical record.
Requirements
- Prior experience is not required; however, any caregiver/C.N.A. experience is a plus.
- Musical, arts, and crafts experience preferred.
