Activity Aide

About the role

Join our active, dedicated, and fun team at Manchester Rehab and Healthcare Center to support high-quality resident care. As an Activity Aide, you will help plan, implement, and evaluate recreational, social, intellectual, emotional, and spiritual programs tailored to each resident’s assessment and care plan, under the guidance of the Activity Director.

Responsibilities

• Prepare activity rooms and areas for scheduled programs.
• Recommend needed equipment and supplies to the supervisor.
• Clean and reset activity areas after programs.
• Follow resident care plans to provide daily activities.
• Purchase department supplies and assist residents with personal items when needed.
• Support residents during activities to promote physical, social, and emotional well-being.
• Visit in-room residents, assist with crafts, write letters, run errands, and provide general support.

Requirements

• Experience in a Long Term Care Activities Department (preferred).
• Patience, tact, a cheerful attitude, and enthusiasm.
• Ability to work with residents at varying maturity levels.
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
• Ability to move intermittently throughout the day.
