About the role
The Activity Aide assists in planning, implementing, and evaluating activity programs designed to support the physical, mental, and emotional well-being of residents.
Responsibilities
- Observe residents' progress according to their assessment and care plans, and as directed by supervisors.
- Build positive relationships with residents and facility staff.
- Energetic and positive attitude.
- Strong communication skills.
- Patient and empathetic approach.
- Creative and initiative-driven.
- Comfortable working with elderly, sick, or individuals with special needs.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of 1 year experience in recreation within a geriatric or healthcare setting.
- Flexible availability preferred.
- Experience in Long-Term Care (LTC) or Memory Care is a plus.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand, walk, and lift equipment for extended periods.
