Activity Aide

About the Role

The Activity Aide assists in planning, implementing, and evaluating recreational, social, intellectual, emotional, and spiritual programs in accordance with each resident’s assessment and care plan.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning, developing, organizing, implementing, evaluating, and charting daily activity programs and quality assurance for the Activities Department.
• Assist in preparing and cleaning up activity rooms and areas for scheduled programs.
• Oversee residents’ engagement in scheduled and unscheduled activities to promote their physical, social, and mental well-being.

Qualifications

• Experience in a Long Term Care Activities Department preferred.
• Must have patience, tact, a cheerful disposition, and enthusiasm.
• Must be willing to interact with residents at their current maturity level.
