Activity Aide

About the role

The Activity Aide assists in planning, implementing, and evaluating recreational, social, intellectual, emotional, and spiritual programs in accordance with each resident’s assessment and care plan.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning, developing, organizing, implementing, evaluating, and charting daily activity programs and quality assurance for the Activities Department.
• Prepare and clean up activity rooms and areas for scheduled programs.
• Oversee residents’ engagement in both scheduled and unscheduled activities to promote physical, social, and mental well-being.

Qualifications

• Experience in a Long Term Care Activities Department preferred.
• Patience, tact, cheerful disposition, and enthusiasm.
• Willingness to interact with residents at their current maturity level.
