Activities Program Coordinator

About the role

The primary responsibility of this role is to lead therapeutic and recreational activity groups, document patient group performance, and communicate with clinical staff.

Responsibilities

• Leads activity groups and interacts with individuals on the unit in a professional manner.
• Selects and organizes appropriate therapeutic group and individual activity modules/plans.
• Maintains a safe and failure-free environment for clients, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Communicates client interactive behaviors to appropriate clinical staff.
• Completes clinical documentation and documents client attendance in a timely manner.
• Reports to a supervisor and uses supervision effectively for professional development.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in a related field.
• Experience in activity/creative clinical strategies (art and music) is preferred, with 1-2 years of experience.

Qualifications

• Possesses basic computer skills to use electronic systems (including Microsoft Office).
• Organized, timely, and possesses good interpersonal skills to communicate within a multi-disciplined team.
• Able to set and maintain appropriate boundaries.
