Job Description
The Activity Coordinator develops and carries out the Activity function at the Hospice House, adhering to Title 22 Regulations. Key responsibilities include:
- Timely assessments and documentation of socialization and activity needs of patients.
- Maintaining and upgrading inventory and supplies for the activity function.
- Training Hospice House staff on the role and function of the Activities Department.
- Developing and providing activities such as social activities, indoor and outdoor activities, religious visits, residential council, creative activities, educational, and exercise activities.
Experience/Education
One of the following:
- Two years of full-time experience in a patient activities program in a healthcare setting within the past five years.
- A graduate of an accredited school of Occupational Therapy, Recreational Therapy, or Occupational Therapy Assistant.
- Satisfactory completion of at least 36 hours of training in a course designed specifically for this position.
Required Education
As appropriate for education and experience above.
Licensure/Certifications
American Heart Association Healthcare Provider BLS certification is required.
