About the role
The Activity Coordinator is responsible for the development and provision of activity services, helping to implement and advise the Property Manager on overall activities needs. This includes planning and facilitating special events, composing and producing a monthly newsletter, and welcoming new residents.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement new ideas for activities
- Plan and facilitate special events as appropriate
- Work with management team to ensure minimum disruption and coverage of scheduled activities
- Create the monthly calendar of activities
- Post activity and information flyers, posters, and sign-ups in a timely manner
- Welcome all new residents and provide them with the current newsletter and orientation to activities within the site
Requirements
- Excellent communication, organization, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work well with diverse and multi-lingual populations
- Conversational knowledge of Mandarin or Cantonese is a plus
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in activity service area or related field working with low-income families, youth, seniors, and disabled population
