Weekend Activities Assistant - Part Time
Schedule
Saturday & Sunday, 8:00 AM - 8:00 PM
Pay
$17/hour
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Long-term Care Experience Preferred
- Positive attitude and outgoing personality
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Passion for enriching the lives of seniors
Physical Requirements
- Must be able to stand and walk frequently
- Push/pull equipment
- Assist with activities
- Lift up to 50 pounds as needed
- Assist the Activity Director in creating and leading fun, interactive programs for residents
- Plan and conduct individual, small group, and large group activities
- Encourage participation in crafts, games, music, reading, hobbies, and special events
- Aid with resident outings and transportation as needed
- Help develop monthly activity calendars and maintain attendance records
- Provide one-on-one and in-room activities for residents who are bed-bound or prefer quieter engagement
- Build positive relationships with residents, families, staff, and visitors
- Help maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming Activity Department
