Activities Associate (Part-Time)- Wyndham Ocean Boulevard

About the role

The Activities Associate at Travel + Leisure Co. is responsible for organizing and executing a variety of recreational activities for resort guests. This position requires the ability to operate various resort facilities and areas, including the activities center, movie theater, fitness center(s), pool(s) and cabanas, banquet room(s), tanning rooms, outdoor games and beaches.

Responsibilities

• Provide Resorts Activities to Guests.
  • Create, plan and execute guest activity programs for the Resort (e.g., arts & crafts, pool games, aerobics movie night, karaoke, outbound trips to local attractions, BBQ, miniature gold, etc.)
  • Maintain and promote guest participation in resort activities.
• Monitor, Supervise and Assist Guests.
  • Ensure guest safety and satisfaction during activities.
  • Assist guests in using resort facilities.
• Perform Area Audits.
  • Conduct and record inspections of related activity areas in compliance with company standards and requirements.
  • Manage cash banks following proper cashiering procedures.
• Attend Training & Meetings.
  • Participate in resort and company trainings and meetings.
  • Complete required training as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Training requirements may vary based on location, including certifications like Lifeguard, CPR, First Aid, Alcohol Awareness Card, Food Server Health Card, and a valid local state driver’s license.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to demonstrate good judgment when dealing with guests and staff members.
• High level of creativity and a customer service mindset.
• Knowledge of general resort services.
• Ability to work an adjusted work schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
