About the role
The Activities Assistant will be under the direct supervision of the Activities Director and will aid in planning, organizing, developing, and directing the overall operation of the Activity Department so that it is designed to meet, in accordance with the comprehensive assessment, the interests and the physical, mental, and psychosocial well-being of each resident.
Responsibilities
- Aid in planning, organizing, developing, and directing the overall operation of the Activity Department
- Ensure activities align with the comprehensive assessment of each resident's needs
- Develop and implement programs that enhance the physical, mental, and psychosocial well-being of residents
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure continuity and coordination of care
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field (e.g., gerontology, social work)
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a healthcare setting
- Experience in activity planning and management
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Qualifications
- Current CPR certification
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Passing background check and drug screening
