Activities Assistant (Secured Unit)

About the role

We are looking for an enthusiastic, caring person who enjoys working with the elderly to assist in carrying out a program of activities that provides entertainment, intercommunication, exercise, and relaxation for all residents.

Responsibilities

• Assist in carrying out a program of activities that fulfills basic psychological, social, and spiritual needs.
• Support outside activities for residents.
• Assist residents with hobbies, arts and crafts, and group activities.
• Encourage participation in religious activities.
• Print and distribute the monthly activities calendar.
• Participate in Quality Improvement as assigned.
• Complete Activities Attendance Records.
• Work with residents and families to develop and implement strategies that promote person-centered care.
