Activities Assistant - PRN

Job Summary

The Long Term Care (LTC) Activities Assistant strives to improve the quality of life for patients/residents by providing appropriate, meaningful activities and interventions on a one-on-one and/or group basis. This includes administering the monthly activity calendar, eliciting resident input into activity planning, and ensuring activities are well-organized and upbeat.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent preferred
• Experience in social services or creative activities preferred
• Experience in geriatrics preferred
• Knowledge of working with a wide variety of resident demographics
• Possesses Certified Nurses Assistant (CNA) certification or is currently enrolled in a healthcare-related program
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required based on location
• May require CPR certification within six months of hire
• Obtains and maintains required department-specific competencies and certifications
• May require Sanford Category I or II Driver certification based on location
