Activities Assistant (Part Time)

About the role

You play a key role in patient satisfaction and well-being by assisting the Live Enrichment Director in planning and executing activities to enrich the lives of patients within the facility. You make one-on-one visits with patients and encourage their participation in various activities. You also interact with volunteers and may be required to transport patients to scheduled events away from the facility.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Live Enrichment Director in planning and executing activities to enrich the lives of patients.
• Making one-on-one visits with patients and encouraging their participation in various activities.
• Interacting with volunteers.
• Transporting patients to scheduled events away from the facility, as needed.

Requirements

• Previous experience in healthcare/patient activities (preferred).
• Good communication skills.
• A current driver’s license and good driving record.
• Passionate about delivering excellent customer service.
• Professional in appearance and behavior.

Qualifications

• Successfully complete pre-employment process and screening.
• Able to pass a physical examination given in behalf of gainful employment within the facility.
• Satisfactorily pass through required orientation and training.
• Follow written and/or verbal instructions.

Exposure Category

• Tasks that involve no exposure to blood, body fluids, or tissues, but employment may require unplanned Category I tasks.

All your information will be kept confidential according to EEO guidelines. Part Time Day Shift; Every Other Weekend (Sat. & Sun.) and Wednesdays; 8 hours.
