Activities Assistant, Carlyle Place, FT1.0, Days

About the Role

Join our team as an Activity Assistant at Carlyle Place, a Navicent Health assisted living community. In this full-time role, you'll help create engaging programs and events that promote social, emotional, intellectual, and spiritual well-being for residents. You'll support the planning and delivery of activities that keep residents active, connected, and engaged while fostering a positive and welcoming environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist with planning, organizing, implementing, and leading recreational and social activities for assisted living residents
• Develop and maintain engaging monthly activity calendars
• Conduct resident visits and provide assistance with crafts, games, projects, and other activities
• Support community events, celebrations, outings, and special programs
• Coordinate transportation requests for resident field trips and excursions
• Create flyers, newsletters, event invitations, and promotional materials
• Distribute activity calendars, newsletters, and other resident communications
• Maintain accurate activity documentation, assessments, and progress notes
• Track department expenditures and assist with budget-related reporting
• Participate on community committees and contribute ideas for resident programming
• Foster a positive, inclusive environment that respects individual backgrounds, preferences, and interests

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team
• Compassionate, resident-focused approach with a passion for serving older adults
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

Preferred Qualifications

• Degree in Music Therapy, Art Therapy, Recreational Therapy, or a related field
• Experience in recreational programming, resident activities, healthcare, assisted living, senior living, or a related setting
• Eligibility for certification as a Therapeutic Recreation Specialist or Activity Professional
• Completion of the Georgia Health Care Association Activity Director Course
• Occupational Therapy Assistant or Occupational Therapist experience

Work Environment

Pay

Pay range: $18.85 - $28.30 per hour

Schedule

Full-time, Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM
