About the Role
As an activities assistant, you provide and supervise enrichment opportunities to meet the physical, social, cultural, spiritual, emotional, and recreational needs of each patient/resident. You assist the care team and residents' families in helping residents reach their highest potential.
Responsibilities
- Provide resident activities on a group and individual basis
- Promote and follow the monthly schedule of activities
- Document medical records regarding residents' attitude, participation level, etc.
- Attend care conferences
- Report to the activities director
Requirements
- Work independently
- Relate positively and effectively with others
- Advocate for the senior population
- Possess a valid driver's license and private vehicle
