About the Role
The Assistant Program and Outreach Director supports the day-to-day delivery of resident-centered activities that promote and integrate the Phoenix Senior Living philosophy, incorporating wellness in all aspects of the seniors’ lives served. This role ensures all dimensions—emotional, sense of purpose, physical, social, intellectual, and spiritual—are reflected in the services provided.
Schedule
8:30 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday through Friday, with every other weekend required.
Responsibilities
- Refer to the Resident Profile and addendum for every new resident.
- Assist with facilitating a variety of personalized activities that incorporate all dimensions of wellness, available throughout the day and evening with resident care associate participation.
- Recognize resident changes in condition and take appropriate action.
- Assist residents to and from activity rooms as needed.
- In memory care, assist residents with Life Skills and other enriching activities, supporting engagement in routines.
- Review, read, notate, and initial the communication log to document pertinent information and any resident’s physical or behavioral changes.
- Maintain activity areas in an orderly manner.
- Assist with the daily care of animals or plants within the activities program, including record maintenance.
- Maintain an inventory of activity supplies, games, programs, and crafts.
Requirements
- High School Diploma; job-related experience in a senior living community preferred.
- Ability to lead activities and motivate volunteers and associates for involvement in social events.
- Knowledge and experience in the Assisted Living industry and Dementia care preferred.
