About the role

Meadowview Rehabilitation and Nursing Center is seeking a dynamic and compassionate Activities Assistant to join the team at its state‑of‑the‑art facility in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The Activities Assistant plays a vital role in enhancing residents’ lives by planning and implementing engaging activities, fostering social connections, and promoting overall well‑being.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning and implementing a diverse range of activities, such as exercise classes, arts and crafts, and social events, designed to meet the needs and interests of residents.
• Collaborate with the Activities Director to develop and implement activity programs that promote cognitive, physical, and emotional well‑being.
• Engage with residents through one‑on‑one interactions, small‑group activities, and large‑scale events, encouraging socialization, participation, and a sense of community.
• Assist with designing and implementing special events, such as holiday celebrations and cultural festivals, to enhance the overall living experience.
• Maintain accurate records of resident participation, activity schedules, and program evaluations.

Requirements

• Prior experience as an activities assistant preferred.
