Activities Assistant

Job Summary

As an Activity Assistant, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for our residents by planning and implementing engaging activities that promote socialization, cognitive stimulation, and overall well-being.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and lead various activities, including games, arts, crafts, fitness classes, and social events, tailored to meet the diverse needs and interests of our residents
• Collaborate with the Recreation Therapy department to develop and implement activity programs that promote physical, social, and emotional well-being
• Absorb and maintain accurate records of resident participation, progress, and feedback
• Develop and promote a positive and inclusive atmosphere that encourages social interaction and community engagement
• Partner with other care team members to ensure that activities align with individualized care plans and meet the needs of our residents
• Participate in regular team meetings and contribute to the development of activity programs and services

Requirements

• A high school diploma or equivalent required
• Prior experience in a healthcare or senior living setting preferred
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as needed
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to lift, transfer, and reposition residents as needed
