Responsibilities
- Aid in the execution of various daily activity programs aimed at enhancing the quality of life through physical, mental, and spiritual wellness.
- Support the Activities Director in delivering announcements for Resident of Record (R.O.), sharing important information, weather updates, birthdays, and more.
- Assist in meeting the sensory needs of bedridden residents and LyFE participants, ensuring their comfort and well-being.
- Participate in creating and maintaining the monthly activity calendar, suggesting new ideas for future events.
- Communicate with the Activities Director about daily issues, concerns, and behavioral problems involving residents.
- Document attendance and individual participation records for activities.
- Participate in planned outings and events outside the facility, collaborating with volunteers and staff.
- Interact with community representatives visiting the facility, representing the Department when necessary.
- Attend administrative meetings as required and collaborate with other staff members to conduct events.
- Adhere to FutureCare’s Statement of Corporate Ethics and comply with the Corporate Compliance Plan.
- Report any malfunctioning equipment to the appropriate department and report any observed hazards to the proper department.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- One year of experience working in a skilled nursing facility environment preferred.
- A strong desire to work with the elderly or disabled.
- Previous experience in arts/crafts and/or music is highly desirable.
- The ability to handle emotional and behavioral disturbances.
- To be vivacious and patient in interactions with residents.
- To be available to work weekends, holidays, and evenings as scheduled.
Qualifications
