Activities Assistant

Aviata Health Group is looking for a qualified Activities Assistant to join our resident- and family-focused community. This is a team-oriented role for someone driven and excited about caring for our residents and helping build our facility culture.

About the role

The primary purpose of this position is to deliver the established plan for resident activities and recreation.

Schedule

Part-time: Saturday–Monday, 10:00 AM–6:00 PM.

Responsibilities

• Assist with resident activities, assessments, and activities profiles.
• Assist in scheduling movies, planning parties, and providing games/activities for residents.
• Encourage residents to participate in recreational social activities so that all residents are involved by engaging in and organizing games, crafts, religious services, parties, etc.
• Assist the Community Life Director in expanding services.
• Provide innovative, responsible healthcare by creating and implementing new ideas and concepts that continually improve systems and processes to achieve superior results.

Requirements

• Minimum of a high school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Some experience preferred in providing recreation services to residents in a healthcare setting.
• Current, unencumbered, valid state driver’s license.
• Qualified, compassionate, and dedicated to a job well done.
