About the role
We are hiring a fun and creative Activities Assistant to join our recreation team at Cape Heritage Rehabilitation & Health Care Center in Sandwich. This is a full-time position with 40 hours per week and weekly pay at $18 an hour.
Responsibilities
- Help coordinate and run events and activities programming.
- Build relationships with residents and learn about their interests to tailor programming to their desires.
- Organize group and individual programming.
- Generate ideas that will excite and encourage residents to participate in programming.
- Encourage residents to take part in activities that will stimulate his/her potential, physically, mentally, socially, and spiritually.
- Assist with and follow through on the establishment of resident care goals within the framework of the entire therapeutic team.
- Document and report any unusual or significant findings.
- Report all reportable events immediately.
Requirements
- Must possess, as a minimum, a high school diploma or its equivalent.
