Activities Assistant

About the role

The Activity Assistant plays a vital and heartfelt role in enriching the lives of residents at Arbor Grove Village. They help create a joyful and engaging environment where seniors feel seen, heard, and valued through creative activities and supportive presence.

Responsibilities

• Create engaging, age-appropriate activities that suit different physical and cognitive abilities.
• Connect with residents to understand their emotional and social needs.
• Work collaboratively with the care team to support residents holistically.
• Balance daily schedules, manage multiple residents, and prepare activities efficiently.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED; or one to three months' related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Successfully complete a State-approved Nursing Assistant training and competency evaluation program or a CNA competency evaluation program approved by the State.
