Activities and Events Associate

About the role

We are seeking a dynamic and organized individual to join our team as an Activities and Events Associate.

Responsibilities

• Strategically plan, coordinate, oversee, and manage a diverse array of resort activities and events, including children’s and adult programming, both free and paid, as well as movie nights
• Contribute to the creation and maintenance of a comprehensive resort activities calendar
• Lead and assist with setup and cleanup for all activities and events
• Establish and maintain a tracking system to monitor attendance, vendor participation, revenue, and expenses for each activity
• Aid in ensuring timely payment of invoices and accurate documentation of all financial transactions
• Actively participate in training and supporting team members and volunteers within the Activities and Events department
• Support the development of seasonal event calendars while adhering to budget guidelines
• Prepare and distribute newsletters to guests and residents featuring upcoming activities and events
• Collaborate in the planning and execution of fundraising or community support initiatives
• Manage and maintain inventory of activity supplies and ensure proper organization
• Ensure proper care, maintenance, and readiness of equipment and supplies
• Perform additional duties as assigned to support the success of the Activities and Events department

Qualifications

• Proven experience in event planning, coordination, or hospitality programming
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to track budgets, expenses, and revenue related to programming
• Team-oriented with leadership qualities and a proactive mindset
• Passion for creating engaging, guest-focused experiences in a resort environment
