About the role
We are seeking a compassionate, enthusiastic Activities Aide to join our team in Skilled Nursing. The ideal candidate will have prior experience working with individuals living with dementia and a strong understanding of how to engage residents in meaningful, person-centered activities. Responsibilities
- Engage residents in group programs, one-on-one activities, sensory stimulation, music, art, movement, and other structured programs
- Assist in planning, preparing, and setting up activity materials and spaces
- Encourage resident participation while promoting dignity, safety, and comfort
- Document resident participation and report any changes in behavior or engagement
- Work collaboratively with nursing, social services, and other departments to support resident well-being
- Support weekend and evening program coverage as scheduled
Qualifications
- Compassionate, patient, and able to redirect residents in a positive and supportive manner
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Dependable, creative, and comfortable leading small group activities
- Must be able to pass background checks and meet facility requirements
- Flu Shot is Mandatory per State Requirements

$15.50 - $16.00 per Hour
Schedule
Every other weekend: 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM; One evening per week: 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM
